COMMITTEE REPORTS:
SUMMER CAMP – 59 boys on the list, 60 spots reserved,
2 spots open. $2002.00 short. Balance of summer camp fee is past
due. John is recommending that we get one more adult volunteer to attend for at
least part of the week so that we can have a total of 6 adults there for the
entire week. This would provide a ratio of 10 boys to every 1 adult.
Any adult volunteers contact John Monday.
UNIFORMS – Have completed an inventory of the available uniforms. Some small sizes and many larger sizes are available. Shawn encouraged folks to look for any available uniforms at thrift stores, garage sales, etc.. The troop will reimburse any expenses.
WOODCUTTING – Brian Easton reported that the last woodcutting was cancelled due to lack of volunteers. Although we don’t usually schedule woodcutting days during the summer he has someone who is volunteering wood and as a result is scheduling a woodcutting for the 29th of June.
FRIENDS OF SCOUTING – Lori announced that because we did not meet our FOS goal this year we will need to spend troop funds to purchase badges. from the scout shop.
MOM AND ME – A great success. We have a date reserved for next year.
WELCOMING COMMITTEE – Position is still open.

been established and will be available on the website. A link to each
member’s E-Mail is listed. Members are requested to sign a Website
Permission Form allowing their E-mail to be listed.
COMMITTEE REPORTS (continued):
ACTIVITY/SIGN-UP BOOK COORDINATOR – Pete
Logar announced that he has updated the book.
TLC – Ken Wright
reported that the TLC meetings were improving and getting better each month.
SCOUTMASTER’S REPORT
Shawn read a message from Kent apologizing for his
absence.
In the message, Kent also suggested that the Kevin Frees scheduled
be posted on the troop website
NEW BUSINESS
Art Pinkers reported that each person attending Woodbadge
training had an action item to go back and review 5 actions, called “ticket”
items, which they can do to add value to the troop. Art is an adult
trainer and for one of his “ticket” items he is offering to provide adult
training opportunities for our troop adults. He can help fulfill any adult
training requests or needs and can also work to identify training to bring to
the troop. If the troop would be interested in this, Art would be willing
to serve as an Adult Trainer. Shawn recommended that the position of adult
trainer be established as a committee person. The motion was seconded by
Leigh During and was unanimously approved.
Doug Gunderson announced a proposed fundraiser for the fall. Someone has contacted him about an opportunity where we can raise money by marketing windshield repair and replacement sales. The boys would distribute flyers and some of the money would be donated to the troop. An average fundraising opportunity has provided some groups $500-$600. Doug will bring the issue up again as it gets closer.
ACTIVITY REPORTS
CAMPOREE – Several people attended and all agreed it was
a great success. The weather was terrific.
MT. RAINER – Pete Logar reported on the climb. Saturday was
uneventful. Woke at 2:30 am Sunday and climbed to approximately 11,000 sq
ft. A couple of folks were starting to have some physical
difficulties. Returned to base camp and all the equipment was blown
away. It was suggested that since Kent lost a considerable amount of gear
that the troop give him a gift certificate of $250.00. A Motion was made
by Richard Maloney, Seconded by Art Pinkers and unanimously approved.,
