Parent’s Committee Meeting
March 9,  2004

The meeting was called to order at 7:40 by co-chair Shawn Sather.

Attendance:  Dahni Logar, Carol Ham, Nancy Parrish, Brian Pinnow, Gerlinde Sakmar, Art Anderson, Shawn Sather, Jana Cochran, Jeff Nylund, Tracy Dietz, Al Dietz, Randy Miller, Hutch, Carl Prichard, Mike Hwang, Fred and Kat Schirmer, Bill Watson, Kent Brooten, Richard Moloney, Gary Bruno, Debbie Dubay, John Monday, and Joell Nylund.

Treasurer’s Report:  Discussed current treasurer’s report.  Carl Prichard called for approval and Randy Miller seconded and approved.

Committee Reports:
Super Outing: 36 have paid $100 deposit. OK to exceed 35, keep signing up and we can expand. 
If we want to go to Philmont in 2006, registration is Oct. 2004Summer Camp: 

• Starting July 4-11 
• 24 have paid
• Deposit due now $85.00 to Lori Healy.  Total due $170.00
• Caravan to Camp Parsons and back (need adults to drive)
• All Scouts need class 2 physical
• Parents staying overnight need class 3 physical (over 40)
• Parents staying overnight need to pay for food ( nominal)
• Memo on check, note child and event
• Please no cash, check preferred
• Sign up in activity book too
• Bring extra money for snacks and gifts
• John Monday- coord. Not scheduled to be at camp whole week, a couple of parents have been suggested to attend
• Uniforms: mostly small uniforms.  If parents see uniform parts, feel free to purchase  and turn in receipts to Lori.
• Friends of Scouting:  $3200 to date.  Will be looking for Corporate donors.
• Scouting for Food:  Need insurance from parents.  Boys must be in uniform.  Meet at Mr. Brooten’s at 9:00
• Mom and Me:  May 14-16  Staff needed for weekend.  Sign up in book.
• Welcoming Committee:  Please return tapes/DVD
• Mountaineers Lodge:  New parents need to go next year.  Lots of fun.  Listen for announcement and sign-up immediately.
• Youth Protection:  Open Position.  Need someone to present once a year for adults and once a year for the boys.

Scoutmaster’s report:

• Scout books available
• Uniform patches available ie: Chief Seattle (shoulder and pocket) and  474
• Camp Koby- easy, fun camp outing  March 26-27

Other Business:

• Rob Healey to Philmont for JLT.  Receiving $100.00 scholarship from Leader Training/JLT funds.
• Buy silkscreen equip. for scarves.  Hutch will get equipment/design.  Boys will print.
• Skull and Crossbones- Dahni and Shawn will update.  Carl will make copies.  Need 25 new.
• WashJam- Joell Nylund will lead.  Sign-up in book.  $25.00 per person.  Need to pay by May or price goes up.
