Parent’s Committee Meeting
December 9, 2003

The meeting was called to order at 7:45 by co-chair Shawn Sather.

Attendance: Dahni Logar, Randy Miller, Doug Wollen, Colleen DeJong, Shawn Sather, Art Anderson and Hutch.

Treasurers Report: The treasurer’s Report was presented.

Committee reports:

Uniforms-Randy Miller reminded us there are uniforms available, several smaller sizes.
Woodcutting: Plenty of woods, still selling, there are logs to collect (small work party). There will be no scheduled cuttings until spring.
Youth Protection: we need to make sure we own our own tape.
Greg Cannon is no longer co-committee chair.
We rechartered 71scouts and 28 adults.
Ciaran Nienow had a very nice Eagle Court of Honor.
There will be no meeting on December 30, 2003
The meeting on the 23 of December will be Caroling
There are lots of outings for the scouts to attend, the scouts should be encouraged to attend outings, they will learn more there than at the meetings. We need to promote the outings more; several have been canceled due to lack of participation.
The web site has a current calendar, make sure to check it for updates; parents meetings will be included on the calendar.
Doug Wollen will reset the web page counter.
Friends of Scouting we currently have $620 pledged.
March 5 and 6 are the Mountaineers Lodge, make sure to sign up and when the deposits are due, money talks.
Summer camp starts July 4, 2004 and will be open to the first 45 that sign up.
Super outing-Dahni Logar will talk to Mr. Brooten and Mr. Watson to find out what we can do regarding a super outing for the summer of 2004.
