COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Friends of Scouting – Shawn reported that our troop goal for this year is $4,000, approximately $60.00 per boy.  All families are requested to sign and return their cards.  Cards will be placed in folders this evening.  Families are encouraged to check for the matching businesses on the back of the pledge cards and take advantage of any matching funds.
Scouting for Food – Carl Prichard will be attending the next Roundtable and obtaining information.
Welcome Committee – Copies of a Welcome Committee Brochure have been made.
AI – Check the quantities of Skulls & Crossbones, see if any changes need to be made prior to getting any new copies printed.  Get additional copies made if necessary  Actionee – Debbie Dubay
AI – Burn some CD copies of the “Equipment Seminar” presented by Mr. Brooten.  Actionee – Shawn Sather
Advancement/Uniforms – Both committees reported everything is going fine.
Woodcutting – Camp Brinkley ahs 10-15 cords of downed wood.  We are trying to get in touch with POC to set up a date.
Mom & Me Coordinator – We are still looking for a Committee Chair for this activity.  Carol Hamm helped coordinate last year and has information if anyone is interested.
Troop Website – The current Domain has expired.  Doug Wollen is working the issue.
SPL/TLC – Ken Wright reported that the Leadership is going well.  Still a little bit of a challenge in getting the troop meeting and outing schedule E-Mailed out and flowed down.  It is however being sent to Doug and posted on the website.

OUTING REPORTS:
Igloo Outing – Originally planned for this coming weekend.  We need 6 feet of snow and Paradise currently has 5 ½ ft.  Snoqualmie has 45” of snow at the base.  Suggestion is to postpone the outing to a later date in hopes of more snowfall.  It was suggested that a snowshoe/campout be planned for the coming weekend.
Mountaineers Lodge – Anyone attending needs to make sure they have a Snow Park Permit & and Groomed Trail Permit.  Mountaineers permission slips and Troop permission slips are required.
Woodbadge – First and last weekend of May.  This is a 2-3 day activity.  We had a great turnout in 2002 and Kent would like a good turnout again this year.
New Outing – Information was provided on an opportunity to ride a “tour truck” through the Elk Feed area for a donation.  Scouts would not be able to feed the elk.  Consensus of the group was this was not something we would pursue.

NEW BUSINESS:
There was considerable discussion regarding a couple of opportunities that have been identified for fund raising.  The Condo that we cut wood at wants to donate the chipper and a $100.00 to the troop in return for several boys to come out and do some work for them.  For the amount of hours involved and the number of people that would be required it was not determined that this would be a good activity to pursue.  There is another person that would like some yard work done for a return of a $400.00 donation to the troop.  Kent will get more information on this particular activity.

NEXT MEETING: The next Parent’s Committee Meeting will be held March 11, 2003.  A Court of Honor will take place in February.

ADJOURNMENT:
Meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
